Included in the book is a board game (which we have developed and tested) for practicing note taking. ( copy/print and cut out board and cards)
Practicing note taking is a vital skill to PSIs, and not just the conference interpreters who have used it for decades.
It is easier to learn in a group. Our game can be used in a variety of ways and is:
"I loved that. We don't often laugh that much in class" Guillermina. (interpreting student, Madrid)
The Spanish group that tried this game didn't want to stop.
When the game was played in our British classroom, some language groups became very competitive. It was more hotly contested between them than a Liverpool vs Everton football derby!
